Rock and rollin' on the sea

Today is our 4th full day at sea after leaving Hawaii. Tomorrow we will be in Moorea, French Polynesia--where the Bali Hai parts of the movie "South Pacific" were filmed.

All the way from San Francisco to Hawaii the seas were calm and it was smooth sailing. Since leaving Hawaii, the seas have become increasingly rough. There are white caps on the waves and the boat is rocking and rolling a bit more than it had been but not to the point where it makes one sea sick...just gentle rolling. We all look a bit like drunken sailors as we walk down the halls to the stateroom. The pools on ship are a different scene today. One of our favorite areas to laze away the day on deck is by the pool at the front of the ship. It's depth ranges from 3.5 - 5 feet in depth. With the seas a little rough, the water in this pool really took off sloshing from side to side and creating large waves within the pool. It was fun to watch and occasionally splashes of pool water would drench us on our deck chairs just outside the pool. We ventured into the pool and had fun being
tossed about and doused by the water.

After 4 days at sea we are ready to be in a port and do some siteseeing...stay tuned!
