Thanksgiving in Fort Collins

We travelled to Fort Collins this year for Thanksgiving.  Terry had some surgery on his foot on Tuesday and that gave us a great excuse to recuperate in Fort Collins.   Jen flew in from Florida on Wednesday evening so that we could all celebrate Thanksgiving together for the first time in many, many years.  On Thanksgiving morning it was time for the Turkey Trot....a 4-mile race in Old Town Fort Collins.  Terry was unable to participate due to his foot and that just about drove him crazy.  Jen ran the race and did a fantastic time (32.08), especially considering that she went from sea level to the 'mile-high' altitude of Colorado.  Terry, Lisa, and Ryan were the designated cheerleaders and Joyce walked the race with friends Dana and Lance.  The cheerleaders failed in their job as they were waiting around the wrong corner for the racers to come by and missed Jen completely.  With that, Terry picked up on his duty and caught Joyce and Dana near the finish line stretch.

Giving Blogging a Try

This is a test blog.  Jen has set us up with a blog template and instructions on how to journal and post photos of our travels.  We plan to keep in touch while on our travels....but first we have to practice.
