A Caribbean cruise to the ABC islands

After returning to the USA from our Patagonia adventure in February, 2018, we enjoyed a week in Florida visiting our daughter and son-in-law.  Since they both are gone all day to work, we thought we might as well take advantage of being in the Fort Lauderdale area and go on a cruise.

We chose our favorite area of the Caribbean--the southern.  We will have 3 port stops in 8 days--Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao--the ABC islands in what is known as the Dutch Caribbean.

Our ship is the Crown Princess.  It's a big one with a maximum of 3600 passengers and 1200 crew.

It has been almost two and one-half years since we have sailed on a Princess ship; during that time we've done more land-based trips and a river cruise.  It felt good to be back on a ship and in our favorite spot for the sail-away....the stern.

Not long after we boarded, the ship set sail on a southerly course towards Curacao, our first port.

In the following 3 posts, I will highlight what fun things we did while at the ports in Curacao, Aruba, and Bonaire.
