Southern Caribbean Cruise - Last day is a sea day

Too soon the cruise is coming to an end. Today we sail towards San Juan (and unfortunately pack our suitcases). It is a relaxing day. Ernie, Mark, Darlene & Dorit go to BINGO and Ernie wins the jackpot of $400!

Southern Caribbean Cruise - Barbados

Our last port is Barbados. We have a taxi driver/tour guide named Cameron. Our first stop is to the Concorde Experience, where we have the opportunity to climb aboard the Concorde.

The tour was excellent. We experienced a

simulated take off and sonic boom.

It had always been Terry's dream to ride the Concorde.

This was the next best thing.

Next stop was Crane Beach. Travel Channel

lists it as one of the top 10 prettiest beaches.

We totally agree!

The water was warm, the sand was pinkish, and we

didn't want to leave.

Last stop on our Barbados tour was to swim with

the sea turtles and snorkel over a shipwreck.

Southern Caribbean Cruise - St. Lucia

Today we take a tour of St. Lucia through Cosol Tours. Claude-Jean is our tour guide for the day. We leave the ship after checking e-mail and learn that things are progressing for Lisa but no baby yet. Hopefully there will be news by the time we get back on ship.

Don't know how I would have gotten it home, but

at least he would have been a little richer.

Claude-Jean showed us a new way to open up a beer bottle.

We tasted the local fruits, breads, meats, and candies.

We wanted to snorkel but the red flag was up on the beach

as there were jellyfish spotted in the waters.

We return to the ship to learn that

Enzo Charles Anderson was born today on

Thursday, December 17.

That night after dinner Ernie bought a bottle

of champagne to toast his birth!

Southern Caribbean Cruise - Antigua

On Antigua we toured the island with Gordon. He was very personable and provided a great tour. We stopped at many places for that "wow" photo and learned a lot about the island and its people. Antigua was the naval headquarters for the British fleet. We visited the historic Nelson Dockyard.

E-mail notifies us that Lisa has gone to the hospital.

We will soon have a baby!

Southern Caribbean Cruise - Tortola

Our 2nd port was Tortola, BVI. We had a catamaran sail planned with Patouche Sails. We were to sail to the Virgin Gorda and view The Baths but the seas were too choppy to safely go there. Instead we sailed over to Cooper Island and had the opportunity to snorkel in a couple of places. It was great fun.
